Reservations are not required for docent-guided walk-in tours designed for individuals and small groups. All tours—except Spotlight Tours—are one hour, limited to 20 visitors, and are free for members and with museum admission.
Tours at Honolulu Museum of Art, Spalding House and First Hawaiian Center start at the Visitor Information Center at the main entrance to the museums and bank gallery.
Walk-In Tour Schedule
- New Exhibitions: Tuesday-Saturday at 10:15am
- Art of Western Cultures: Wednesday and Friday at 11:30am
- Art of Asian Cultures: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 11:30am
- Museum Highlights: Sundays at 1:15pm. Tour varies depending on exhibitions and participants' interests.
- Spotlight Tours: Tuesday-Saturday at 1:30pm
- Japanese Language Tours: Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday at 10:15am
- Spalding House: Galleries and gardens, Tuesday-Sunday at 1:30pm; first Wednesday of the month 11am and 1:30pm
- First Hawaiian Center: First Friday of the month at noon
Guided Adult Group Tour : Groups of 15 or fewer can request a private, docent-led theme tour of the permanent collection or special exhibitions. The cost is $25, in addition to museum admission.
To arrange a group tour, submit your request form three weeks in advance. Due to the popularity of our tours, we may not be able to accommodate all requests.
Self-Guided Adult Tour: Groups of 10 to 25 people can request a self-guided tour. The cost is $25, in addition to museum admission. The fee secures availability of the galleries for your group.
