The Honolulu Academy of Arts docents are a group of more than 100 individuals from all walks of life. Each docent has undergone an intensive two-year training program which includes a survey of art history, training on the Academy's collection, teaching skills and tour presentation instructed by the Academy’s Museum Learning Center. Docents are asked to serve for at least a five-year term.
