This year marks the ninth year of The Joy of Sake: America's Largest Sake Celebration, and the Honolulu event moves from the Convention Center to the Honolulu Academy of Arts. For the first time, Joy of Sake will have premium tables available for Academy members only. The perk is such a hit that tables are already sold out—but there are still individual tickets available for this must-attend event.
On the menu this year are 271 sakes for you to taste and pair with dishes from 14 restaurants, including Nobu Waikiki, Kaiwa and Hoku's. See the complete menu.
In the Central Courtyard the stellar trio of Dean Taba on bass, Jim Howard on keyboards, and Noel Okimoto on drums will set a jazzy tone for the evening.
Ceramists from the Linekona Art Center will be selling handmade sake cups at the event. Show your support and purchase a cup. There are a limited number available so be sure not to miss it.
If you buy your Joy of Sake tickets directly from the Academy, a tax-deductible $20 goes to the museum.
